SESSION 5 HANDOUT · BEFORE NEXT WEEK

What to Bring to Session 6
Read My Story · Redemption & Continuity
Next week you read your story back — and mark it. That is a two-page job, so three things come on paper.

1 Your Life Map ON PAPER · ALREADY DONE

The landscape you drew tonight, with your chapter titles on it and the people who
recur marked. It is already on paper. Put it somewhere you will find it next week.

2 Your Harvest Charter §1.1 — printed ON PAPER · THIS WEEK’S WORK

Step 1, your Three Markers, plus this week’s draft: Steps 2–4 — Origins, Building Years,
and the God sentence. 200–300 words. Print just those Charter pages: two or three sheets,
not the whole Charter. If you cannot print, send your draft to your facilitator two days
ahead and WhyzMen will have a copy at your seat.

3 The worksheet — and a pen WHYZMEN PROVIDES

We bring both. A one-page sheet will be at every seat. You will read from your Map and
your draft while you write on it — which is why those two come on paper.

   WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

The Participant Guide, the Allender and McAdams references, and the rest of your Charter — bring
them as you always do, in Adobe Reader. Nothing else needs printing.
Leave at home: your raw pages from the four days. Layer One is private. Nobody reads it — ever.

Why paper this once
This course is electronic on purpose. But next week you hold your story in one hand and mark it
with the other. On a table that is easy; on one screen it is a page-flip every thirty seconds.
So the pages you read from come on paper, and the tablet carries everything else.

What happens to what you bring
You read your §1.1 draft aloud — two paragraphs and a sentence. Two witnesses answer “What I heard
was…” Then, with your Map and draft in front of you, you mark the story: where it bent toward
contamination, where toward redemption, and the thread through every chapter. Revised, not graded.
