Operationalizing Your Values: A Reference List of Behaviors
A WhyzMen summary
A five-page list from Brené Brown's research on courageous leadership. It turns values into plain “I” statements a person could actually be seen doing, grouped under headings such as Showing Up, Asking for Help, Managing Commitments to Self and Others, Building Trust, Developing Emotional Literacy, and Maintaining Focus, Clarity, and Drive.
It was written for workplace teams, so some lines speak about customers and colleagues. Read past that. The point is the move from a value word (“integrity”) to a sentence another man could check (“I choose what is right over what is fast, fun, or easy”).
Why it is here
This is the same move Session 7 asks of you: from a value you hold to a behavior your wife, your triad, or your grandkids could see.
This is someone else’s published work, so WhyzMen links to the original rather than reposting it.
