Clearness Prep Sheet
WHYZMEN
Mission Prep Sheet · Clearness Monday, February 22
This is yours alone to fill in. Put your §2.1 mission draft r1 in section 1, your T-shirt reactions in section 5, and send the sheet to your two brothers by Thursday, February 18, so they arrive ready to listen rather than scramble. The clearer your question, the deeper the hour goes.
“There is only the authority that lies within each of us waiting to be heard.” — Parker J. Palmer
1. YOUR DRAFT AND YOUR ONE QUESTION
Your §2.1 draft r1 — all three rungs — and the genuine, open question underneath it. One real question — a fork, not a yes/no. e.g. “What is mine to do now that the consulting years are behind me?” Resist bringing three.

2. THE LAY OF THE LAND
What's the background a listener needs to understand it? The facts, the people, the timeline. Keep it brief — enough to orient, not to argue a case.
|
3. WHAT YOU'VE ALREADY TRIED & HEARD
What steps have you taken, and what guidance have you received? Where you've already leaned. Naming this keeps your brothers from handing you advice you've heard ten times.
|
4. WHAT CLARITY WOULD FEEL LIKE
How will you know the hour did its work? Not necessarily an answer — sometimes it's a truer question, or a knot loosened. Name what “clearer” looks like for you.
|
5. WHAT THE T-SHIRT TEST TOLD YOU
Five reactions to your three or four verbs, word for word. Copy them from your Field Tests card. In the chair you read two of them aloud.

Bring this with you. Anything you write stays yours — your brothers offer only honest, open questions; no advice, no fixing. WhyzMen, adapted from the Quaker Clearness Committee (Parker J. Palmer & the Center for Courage & Renewal).
